I am the definition of a morning person, I’ll always be up before the birds and raring to take on the day. I know a lot of my friends really struggle with getting up in the morning, snoozing their alarm until the very last minute meaning they are starting the day stressed, late, and in a foul mood. This has such a negative impact on the day ahead and is no good for our general wellbeing, so I want to share my tips on how to live your best morning. You’ll be leaping out of bed in no time!

1 – Get Organised

Your morning routine should be stress free and therefore organising everything the night before is key. Write down your plans for the day ahead including times, places and travel schedules ensuring you leave enough time for each. Hang up your outfit and prepare any other items you need. Noting any outstanding tasks will help clear your mind and remind you for the next day. Remember – failing to plan is planning to fail!

2 – Sleep

Now you have disconnected from the day you are able to relax and get a good night’s sleep. This is so important for our productivity and concentration the next day. Your bedroom environment is clear of clutter, bright lights or any distractions. Make sure you get into bed allowing enough time for 8 hours of sleep before your alarm goes off. I also use a lavender pillow spray which helps me sleep. If you struggle to get to sleep I would recommend reading a book or listening to a sleep story which are available on YouTubes or apps, I find these really soothing. Whatever you do make sure you are away from screens, the exposure to blue light makes it really difficult to switch off and get to sleep. My advice would be to put your phone on silent and far enough away so you don’t feel the urge to check Instagram!

3 – Juice

I like to kick start my day  by having 1 of my 5 a day with a Tropicana  juice ahead of breakfast – 70% of people who drink juice are more likely to reach their 5 a day goal – check us!  3 – Workout

Starting your day with a workout Is the best way to speed up the waking up process. I love getting to the gym and starting my day there but if you don’t have access to a gym (or can’t face the outdoors first thing) a YouTube workout at home is another option. Getting your blood pumping gives you a much happier outlook on anything the day throws at you.

 5 – Playlist

Set the tone for the day with your favourite tunes. Having a morning playlist tailored to your day can help to get your mind focused. Some days need a high energy ‘pre fight’ playlist to get you psyched up for everything you need to conquer and some call for some chilled rnb to help you open your mind to what you are about to experience. Whatever you have planned having a playlist to match gets you in the zone.
