THEATRE ATTIRE

4th October 2016

On Friday I was invited by Disney to attend the production of Aladdin at the Prince Edward Theatre. When going to the theatre I always find it difficult to decide what to wear. The outfit I pulled together is classy yet still has that comfort factor, which is always important as you’re sitting down for such a long time. I was excited to be invited to take the trip down town to watch the show as it gave me an excuse to dust off my blazer and brogues and get dressed up.

I haven’t watched Aladdin since I was a child, so I couldn’t wait to re-live those childhood memories and see the production live on stage, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. As I had only landed back from Los Angles on Thursday afternoon, I was still feeling a little jet lagged, however the show was so entertaining that I could have stayed awake all night watching it. I don’t want to give too much away as I am sure you will all want to head to watch it yourself, however, the thing I can say is that I had a grin from cheek to cheek throughout the show and was truly entertained.

I was so impressed with all elements of the show, including the costumes which were hand crafted with diamonds, you could see them sparkling from the back of the room. The props were also incredible, especially the magic carpet, which gained a well earned round of applause when flying around the stage. The cast were a true credit to the production, especially the Genie who was my favourite of them all, he had me stitches throughout the show.

After the show I was lucky enough to receive a backstage tour from the stage manager, he gave us an exclusive look into where all of the magic happens. If you’re looking for something to do with a friend, family member or even where to take your next date, I would definitely suggest getting some tickets to watch this show.
