Its been a while since I last took a trip to the theatre. My friend Laura is going abroad to France to work and was dying to go see the new west end show Elf, which is based on 2003 hit film starring Will Ferrell. so when she gave me a call to invite me along, I couldn’t resist.

We headed down to the theatre early so we could pick up our tickets and grab a cheeky drink before the doors opened. The show was being held at the Dominion Theatre across the road from Tottenham Court Road station. On arrival the theatre staff were uber friendly and more importantly pointed us in the right direction to the bar. The theatre was stunning, decorated beautifully and really got me in the Christmas spirit.

Once we had been shown to our seats we sat with excitement ready for the show to start. I don’t want to give too much away in case you have planned to go and see It and I would hate to ruin it for you, all I can say is the show will have you in laughter throughout and I will admit I did also shed a few tears. The cast was amazing. Buddy the Elf was played by the winner of ITV’s superstar Ben Forster, Girls Aloud’s Kimberley Walsh played Jovie and the rest of the cast really were a credit to their jobs as they had the whole audience captivated.

I would highly recommend this show to anyone that is in or around London over the Christmas and New Years period. Don’t forget to let me know what you think of it if you do manage to go see it.
