If you follow me across my other social media platforms (Instagram) you will see a trip to Los Angles is always on the cards for me each year. After traveling to the city of dreams several times, I have built up some knowledge on fun places to explore and shoot Instagram content, best places to eat and finally where to grab a drink and boogie. I know when we travel to a new city we try to do as much as we can. The hardest part is stepping off the plane and deciding where to actually go and what to do. A lot of time is waisted trying to actually decide your plans for the trip.
I’m going to split this blog into three posts as there is too much information for a single blogpost.
1: Places to eat (Today’s post)
2: Places to explore and shoot Instagram content (Content to follow)
3: Places to grab a drink and boogie (Content to follow)
I was so happy to stumble across Joan’s, It’s the perfect little spot to grab breakfast, lunch or even a quick coffee (It’s very Instagramable) A little recommendation for you, the Chinese salad is very filling and tastes insane.
Location – 8350 West Third Street, Los Angeles, CA 90048
If you want to stay healthy when visiting LA, SweetGreens will be your best friend. A quick and easy place to create your own freshly made salad.
Location – 8055 W 3rd Street
Ok, this might be one for a hungover day, still a must visit while in town. All meat is delivered fresh that day and the burgers are so god dam delicious.
Location – There is several around LA
One of my favourite places to hangout in LA is The Grove. Hidden away above Nordstrom’s store is Bar Verde. A great place to grab a quick bite to eat and glass of wine while taking a break from some well earned shopping. Offering small plates, salads, entrees and desserts, the expertly crafted menu changes seasonally, ensuring a unique culinary experience each time you visit.
Location – The Grove, 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angles, CA, 90036
When a friend brought me to Crossroads for lunch I was completely taken by surprise. The restaurant is well known for its delicious Vegan dishes. My first choice from a menu normally includes some sort of meat. The menu displays things like chicken and burgers, however the food is made with no meat and honestly its the best chicken burger made from who knows what I’ve ever had ha-ha.
Location – 8284 Melrose Ave, Los Angles, CA, 90046
In the heart of Weho’s lively gay area, Pump always has a great atmosphere and offers dishes from around the world. A lot of people visit the restaurant to try and catch a glimpse at American reality star owner Lisa Vanderpump, however for me the reasons lye with the stunning outdoor interior themed like a magical garden with one hundred year old olive trees lit up by candles and lanterns. My favourite dish is the Chicken Milanese.
In LA a Sunday is classed as Sunday Funday, pump also offers a great brunch menu and the atmosphere is amazing, the sun shines through the olive trees and the bottomless mimosas just put the cherry on top of the cake.
Location – 8948, Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA, 90069
I recently visited Beauty & Essex, no words I write here can best describe the true beauty that lies within the restaurant. The decor is designed to the highest quality and the multi-ethnic dishes follow along with it.
Location – 1615 Cahuenga Blvd, Los Angles, CA, 90028
This has to be one of my favourite hot spots in Hollywood, offering gourmet foods and a mixology menu. 9 times out of 10 you will spot a A list celebrity while dining in The Nice Guy. Ive casually been tucking into some delicious dishes and on the table next to me was Nick Jonas. I also attended Kendall Jenner’s 20th birthday party here 2 years ago (Just to show what a hot spot it really is)
Just a heads up, reservations are very hard to get so make sure to book in advance. The bar also has great atmosphere so the best way to get your pass to the hotspot is to have a table. (The bouncers are very hard to get by just to pop in for a drink)
Location – 401 North La Cienega Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA, 90048
A beautiful lounge paying homage to the roaring 20s art decor style, filled with plus interior aesthetics. A mixture of classic and modern American cuisines that is influenced by the era’s popular array of soulful food. You will also be entertained each night with live performers. Having the same owners of the Nice Guy their is also surprise acts each night.
Location – 7969 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA,
If you’re a fan of steak like me then Mastro’s is the place to visit. voted in the top 10 steakhouses in the U.S you can imagine the taste you will get when taking your first bite.
