On Monday I was very lucky to be invited to Liberty London Men’s Grooming Department Murdock, where they have some great services to offer the everyday man. I chose to have a “Quick beard trim and condition, followed by “The amazing revitalising Murdock facial.

Liberty’s is a beautiful store which is nicely located on Regents Street, just a short walk from Oxford Street tube station, I was amazed by how big and stunning the department store is, you can find Murdock located downstairs in the left hand corner nicely placed for a the perfect bit of privacy every man wants.

On arrival I was warmly welcomed by Craig Evans who advised that he would be looking after me for my treatment, Craig had such a warming personality and was dressed in a very smart suit, which instantly made me feel at ease and very confident that I was in great hands. Craig provided me with a very fashionable gown (which I know all us men love when we go to the hair dressers (not).

My treatment started off with an amazing beard trimming service, which was amazing (don’t think I will ever manage to achieve this myself) as usually I’m rushing around and only manage to have a quick trim in my bathroom mirror. So to be able to lay back, relax and have Craig work his magic was a really nice experience. Craig made me feel perfectly relaxed during all my treatment, always checked to make sure I felt comfortable throughout.
The facial was fantastic and I would say definitely the best part of my visit, I think everyone loves to be pampered and looked after and that was certainly the service that I received. My facial consisted of.

Step One.
A cleansing facial wash to gently cleanse the excess dirt and oil from the skin, this refreshes the skin whilst with out dehydrating, contain Aloe Vera and Peppermint.

Step Two.
An ex-foliating scrub. it cleanses and invigorate the skin using pumice and jojoba oil. Using circular motions massaging into the skin which gently removes the dead dull layer of skin therefore making the skin look more radiant, leave this on under the hot towel as it acts as a hydrating mast.

Step Three
Apply two hot towels, scented with our signature sent Avalon, bergamont and citrus based. This opens up the pores whilst awakening your senses with a citrus fresh sent.

Step Four
Take away the scrub with a cloth checking for any blocked pores before hydrating the skin using non-greasy facial moisturiser that restores freshness and vitality to the skin with essential vitamins and minerals.

Step Five
Finish off with a small amount of anti ageing eye serum dotted around the delicate eye area, this helps reused puffiness, wrinkles and dark circles. extracts if arnica, elder and mallow help maintain moisture whilst polypeptides help blood circulation which helps firmness and elasticity.

Check out their website (http://www.murdocklondon.com/barber-liberty/) and see if there is anything you fancy giving a try If you are around London.
